| On Thursday April 13, 2006, at approximately 7:00 pm/cst, the Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested Donald Wray Hawkins, age 43 of Valley, on one county of Rape in the 1st Degree and one count of Sodomy in the 2nd Degree. The Lee County Sheriff's Office had received a complaint from the wife of Hawkins reporting that her husband has been sexually molesting their daughter since she was in the first grade and she is now 16 years old. A joint investigation conducted by the Lee County Sheriff's Office and the Lee County Department of Human Resources discovered evidence that supported that the allegations were true. Hawkins has been placed in the Lee County Detention Facility on a $110,000.00 bond. He is currently still in jail. The investigation is continuing. |
